Don't call it a comeback! (I prefer reboot.)

🎶 I hope your month sounds like 1990 LL Cool J:

In this edition:

  • A refresher on who the hell I am and what this newsletter is about

  • What you can expect from this newsletter ~reboot~

  • I just launched a new AI search consultancy! 🎉

Note: I’m looking for your feedback! Newsletter too long? Too boring? Too something else? Respond and let me know your thoughts so far or just say hi 🙋🏻‍♀️

TL;DR: I’m Krista, and you signed up for this AI newsletter nearly 3 years ago 👋

Hi. I’m Krista. I launched this newsletter nearly three years ago when I was working as the SEO and content lead at Jasper. And, hey, you signed up! I really appreciate that.

If you want a refresher, here are the past editions:

I stopped writing the original version of this newsletter because life, work, and AI got busy. But one adorable baby son, Jasper-to-HubSpot transition, and failed tech startup founder stint later…I’m back 👋

The OG Not Another AI Newsletter was meant to focus on how I was using AI for SEO and content work, but since early 2023, AI has not only continued to fundamentally change the way marketing teams create and structure their content strategies, it has fully overhauled search.

We know her by many names: AI search. AEO. GEO. AIO. SEO-wearing-a-Scooby-Doo-Mask. Whatever you want to call it, it’s here and it is shaking UP organic growth. 😮‍💨

Anyway, that’s what I’ll be writing about from now on. If you’re curious about AI search fundamentals, how brands are adjusting their strategies to incorporate visibility in ChatGPT, Perplexity, AI Overviews, and more, then stay tuned!

Also, can we just take a moment to acknowledge that I named this newsletter "Not Another AI Newsletter” because I thought we’d reached full AI newsletter and content saturation in April 2023? Oh, sweet naive 2023 Krista 🙂‍↔️

Speaking of AI search…I just launched a new AEO consultancy 🎉

After my tech startup failed (RIP), I took some time to decompress and chat with other marketing leaders before deciding where I wanted to head next.

My biggest takeaway? Marketing teams and leaders are kind of freaking out about AI search. And while I don’t think this change to search is a reason to freak out, I do think it’s a reason to evolve your strategy and the way you think about how to best position your brand and content for the AI search ecosystem.

The excitement of this shift and the opportunity I feel it brings for marketers makes my brain feel buzzy and sparkly (✨), and I’ve decided to roll up my sleeves and help teams figure out how to survive and thrive in this new era of AI search.

My two main services are around AEO strategy/team alignment + Reddit strategy and community buildout. I’ll be talking about this more soon, but for now, here are my 2026 service offerings in case you’re curious. Would love to chat if you’re thinking about AEO for 2026!

Whew, felt good to catch you all up. How have YOU been? Feel free to reply to this email and say hi. It’s been way too long.

Talk soon,

Krista ❤️
